This is my first experience with Crystal Reports and BO website is less than nothing. It is a kind of fortress only accesible if you are able to pay for the full versions. Microsoft said that you can ask for support with the license of VS , but it's not true.

I am trying to deploy to new server Crystal Reports server , we currently have CR What do I need to do once I install the new version of Crystal into the new server?
Do I need to recompile my existing reports to the new Crystal? Also, do you know if Crystal would work on a bit server? I heard there are some issues with that? The run time versions are somewhat confusing, this post helps out. On one hand I agree that the informations is somewhat difficult to access, does that mean I would stay away from CR? No way, this product is so solid and so robust nothing compares to it on the market I don't get Johnny's comment about Siemens? That makes no sense? Again, glad to see the source for the runtime, but don't get caught up with a few URL links versus the functions and liberty the product can do.

But when I try to run same setup file on any New machine which does not have any VB6 and Crystal Report software of Dll file it fails Giving me vierd error 1 setup is out of date and asking me to restart machine to update the file 2 File missing PVlocale Oh man, you totally saved my life!

I want them to be numbers. Is there any way I can tell the cross-tab for format these things by row? I used the Format Field, Customized Number, then created a formula for the Decimals places, but it does not change based on the row. We are running a Windows service that uses Crystal Reports for Visual Studio to generate reports. We have captured a dump when this crash occured and sent it to Microsoft for analysis.

But we have one issue on one machine. All the reports are running fine on this machine except one report. We are not sure why it just happens on that machine.
FYI This machine is running windows xp. Also, this machine is located at a different location. The database is hosted at the main office. But if I m giving same ReportSelectionFormula in crystal report designer then it is working fine. I have two stored procedures, one used to get data for the main report and other for Sub report and both the SP's use the same parameter QuoteID.
I have send parameter to main report using ReportDocument. But I am not aware how to send parameters to SubReport. I tried many diff ways using the reportdocument's setparameter method which also takes subreport name as argument.
But it didn't. ToString ;. I have already wasted two days on this. It would be great if someone can provide a solution for this. If there are some changes to be made in designed please share images.
