About Manual Lymphatic Drainage This type of massage is not used to get the knots out of muscles; but rather is a soothing, gentle massage focused on massaging your lymph nodes.
This massage is great for the following: Pre-Surgery: A well functioning lymphatic system could shorten your recovery time. With an MLD massage you may be able to eliminate any pre-existing conditions such as Lymphedema or Edema prior to your surgery. Post-Surgery: After surgery, often the flow of your lymphatic fluid can be blocked.
This slows down your healing process. By using the MLD method, we can manually increase the flow of your lymphatic fluid. This in turn helps your lymph fluids to absorb and remove damaged cells thus aiding in a faster healing process. Treating the cause will often improve lymphocyte counts over time. For people with this result, follow-up lymphs blood test results at recurring intervals will often be ordered.
