Next, using sharp scissors or tin snips, cut angled cuts from the edges of the cut triangle to the corners of the border scores. Practice laying them out and overlapping to get the pattern you want. Use the scissors to cut the tiles to fit where needed. Squeeze the tube of adhesive onto the backsplash in a serpentine pattern. Make sure you get even coverage across the backsplash on both the top and bottom of the area. Press the squares onto the backsplash wall in the same order you laid them out on the ground, beginning in the bottom left.
