What the fuck It wont fall down! Its still the same, it pisses me off. It makes me unable to play any game that I bought! This problem is completly random, sometimes the latency is ok, and sometimes its a real bitch. And the most annoying thing is that this happens only with games on steam! When I play other multiplayer games, wich aren't on steam, its all ok. I searched everywhere for a solution but I didnt found nothing. Sorry for my horrible English. Easylife View Profile View Posts.

Ping doesn't just affect games, but a large ping time is very noticeable when timing is crucial.
That's why a low ping is so important in games, especially where your position think first-person shooters or racing games is everything.
There is no single way on how to reduce ping, but a number of possible solutions. These are the possible solutions for reducing ping. Close all other programs and windows on your computer, making sure that there are no active downloads running in the background that might be affecting the ping. Try and move your laptop nearer your router or, better still, connect your computer directly to your router using an Ethernet cable or powerline adapters.
This overcomes any potential issues that you may be having with Wi-Fi and poor signal strength, which may affect the latency of your internet connection.
Maybe someone else in your house is running a bandwidth hungry service, like streaming Netflix in full HD or playing online games.
Try asking them to stop using internet while you are playing. Turn your router off and turn it back on again. Specifically, unplug the power cable from your router and wait around a minute before plugging it back in again. If your setup comprises of a separate router and modem, make sure you turn both off and not just the router.

Or moving house. This works fine for me but this may not work as fine for others. This may or may not decrease your ping. Please continue with caution. This made the greatest reduction in my ping.
