Don't know if any of you still need this info, but I fixed my save issue on Windows 10 by adding the application file to the list of authorized programs in Windows Defender - Apparently, the controlled folder access settings had blocked the program, preventing the creation of saves to the file folder. Posted December 12, There is something weird going on with the saved games in Dark Corners of the Earth. The load screen only shows 5 save slots and when they are full, I try to overwrite them and it appears to not work; namely the save games in those 5 slots stays the same.
But then if I check the local file where the save games are stored, I can see all my saves, and they are way more than 5. But to get the latest save to show up in the load screen, I need to manually delete the save game files in the local file so that there is only 1 or 2 save games left. The weird thing is, later after a computer or GoG restart ALL the save games that I have deleted are back, so everytime I need to start the game I need to re-delete all the save games except the most recent.
Is there a better way or some way to deal with this? There must be something better. No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply. CymTyr CymTyr Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable. It was designed for Win xp, iirc, so you might need to go into compatibility mode and set it to run as admin.
