To be clear though, there's a distinction between the compiler and the underlying language elements, so for example we can update things like the Array. The compilers we have in binary form and are licensed to provide these as part of the AIR SDK, so no worries on that front.

Now the scenario has change radically and we will see how it goes but the info I have is that Harman is a very serious and experienced company and actually has real interest to change the things for various reasons, these big companies doesn't makes this movements from one day to another and without fully evaluating it.

Dimensionscape AIR is already a very mature technology that really only needs periodic native SDK updates for mobile and 64 bit Android , security fixes, and periodic OS specific fixes. My worry is that as some of the ANE developers Milkman comes to mind and third party tools Flare3D start to disappear, Harman will have to step up and fill that gap.

Perhaps integration of GooglePlay payments shouldn't need an ANE - might not be a bad thing for Harman to consider how deeply to support the various platforms. I would like them to make Air a little less trivial to decompile to get source code or some built in methods that we can ensure the validity of an Air client - maybe built into to the compilation, signing and packaging process.

The Adobe Air update I got last night seems to have broken it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled adobe and Vudu with no change. Same as you, I can use the Windows App or the browser but I want to download and watch offline not stream.

Comment Post Cancel. Similar here. I can still stream movies live from vudu, but if I try to download any movie via vudu to go, I get "Sorry, there was a problem downloading this content. Please try again later. Hopefully Vudu will fix this soon. I am having the devs look into this issue. I'll keep you posted once we have a solution in place.
